The beach shacks of Punta Del Diablo come to life in the sunshine, a sand dune glistens against brilliant surf, and fisherman cast their nets in ageing boats daily. Horse riding along the beach coastline into lush greenery of the national Park is well worth a moment in time. Punta Del Diablo, the devil’s point, is amazing.

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA -
From November 7 2012, at the Tim Olsen Gallery in Sydney, Australia, an elegant sequence of wild cockatoos is on exhibition from bird-watching photographer Leila Jeffreys. With characteristic names such as ‘Neville’,’ Bob’ and ‘Pete,’ the brilliant portraits of wild Biloela cockatoos reveal a slightly human element to our flight enhanced friends. Cleverly portraying comedic intrigue, Jeffreys draws the viewer in to a world of wonder for the species. Posed not in flight, nor in a tree, or anything stereotypical to the wild and free Australian bird, Jeffreys instead photographs her feathered friends in the style of a studio portrait session, akin to an actors personality headshot. A brilliant idea, which brings to life the elegance of the feather through her use of light, colour and clarity. Well worth a trip to this gallery, simply to try and not compare bird personalities to the personality of people you know!
